World playlists & member suggestions¶

Where should your next drinking night, game night, or movie night happen? The dashboard's Worlds section turns that recurring question into a workflow: browse a catalog of VRChat worlds with your group's own history attached, keep the keepers in playlists, and let your members pitch in with suggestions, reviewed by your mods and one click to approve.

The Worlds section is for server admins and the owner. Staff below admin see the menu entry but land on an "Admins only" notice.

Worlds is in beta

Worlds carries a beta mark in the sidebar and on its pages. It works end to end, but it is still a work in progress and things may move around while we tune it. If you see an issue or have an idea, post it in the support server.

The Explorer¶

Open your server on the dashboard and pick Worlds. The Explorer searches LogDog's world catalog by name or author, with filters for:

Tags: a curated layer (drinking games, game night, karaoke, movie night, chill hangout, rave, and more) so worlds are findable by the kind of night they fit. The Tags menu shows how many worlds each tag holds; pick several and you get worlds matching any of them.
Quest ready and minimum capacity.
Your history: a sort that shows only the worlds your group has actually hosted, most-hosted first, each card showing "Hosted 4 times · avg 12.5 · peak 20" from your real instance occupancy history. No other tool can tell you how a world performed for your group.

Any world, not just the catalog

The search box takes a VRChat world URL (or a bare wrld_... id) too. Paste one and LogDog fetches the world live, usually within seconds: the catalog grows as you use it. If a name search comes up empty, the "No world found with that name" notice offers Search for it by link right there.

Every card carries a round add button in the corner of its thumbnail: it opens a menu of your playlists, with the ones that already hold the world shown checked. The foot of the card lists which playlists it is on (or "Not in a playlist yet"), and the card's name opens the world page.

The world page¶

Click any world in the Explorer, a playlist, or the Suggestions tab to open its page: a banner, the author, platform (PC, Quest, or both), capacity, and the world's description as published on VRChat.

Two rows of tags sit under the name. The first is LogDog's own vocabulary (the same tags the Explorer filters by). Below it, a smaller outlined row labeled VRChat tags shows the tags the world's author set on VRChat. Those are free text, so they aren't clickable filters, but they often say more about the world than the catalog does.

In your playlists is the control as well as the status: each playlist is a chip, a check means the world is already on it, and a plus adds it with one click.
Your group's stats comes from your instance occupancy history: how many times you've hosted the world, the average and best peak, and when you last opened it. A world you've never hosted says so.
Recent sessions links each of your last visits to its instance stats page.
A shelf of more worlds at the bottom: worlds sharing the world's main tag, or more from the same author, or a few popular worlds of a similar size when neither applies. Handy for building a night around a theme.

A world that LogDog is still fetching from VRChat shows a "details pending" chip; the description fills in once the catalog completes it.

Playlists¶

Playlists are your group's own categories: name the kind of night and keep the keepers in it. Free servers get 2 playlists; Premium raises that to 10, with up to 50 worlds each.

The Playlists tab lists each playlist as a row with a preview of its first few worlds. Click a row to open the playlist's own page:

Add worlds and Edit (name, description, and the suggestions toggle) sit next to the title.
Browse shows the worlds as cards, each with your group's hosting stats. Switch to Manage to reorder worlds, leave short notes ("opener", "wind-down"), remove worlds, or delete the whole playlist.
The Worlds for your next event band at the top is Event worlds, described below.

Each playlist has an Open to member suggestions toggle (on by default). Turn it off for internal lists, like a staff shortlist, and it stays out of the members' picker.

Event worlds¶

Deciding which world to open is the last-minute question every event has. Event worlds answers it: LogDog suggests three worlds from a playlist, favouring ones your group hasn't hosted in a while and ones it has never tried, and your staff pick the ones they'll run.

The same three slots appear in two places, and they stay in sync:

On the playlist page, the band at the top. Pick this world keeps a slot, Shuffle worlds swaps only the worlds you haven't picked, and Confirm all keeps the whole set. New suggestions starts over. Post to Discord sends the set to your staff channel.
In your staff channel on Discord, as an embed with the same buttons. Picked slots show who picked them, and the embed updates in place as people act on it.

Post them whenever you like with /eventworlds, optionally naming a playlist, or let LogDog post them ahead of each event on its own:

Under Settings → Event worlds, set Post them in to a staff channel. Members never see these posts, so keep it to a channel only your team can read.
Set Post event worlds to Only when asked (the command and the button) or Before each event, and pick How long before the event (2 hours by default).
Give an event a playlist: the event editor's Playlist for event worlds field, or Playlist for events without one in settings as the fallback. That fallback also covers events imported from your Discord or VRChat calendar, which can't carry a playlist of their own. An event that resolves to no playlist is simply skipped.

Who can pick worlds uses the same roles as world suggestions. Once your instance opens in a picked world, LogDog marks it visited, so the playlist's "last visited" stays honest and the next set of suggestions moves on.

Member suggestions¶

Members suggest worlds from Discord, two ways:

The suggestion panel: a LogDog message with a Suggest a world button. Pick the panel channel in /config → World Suggestions or on the dashboard's settings card, then switch on Keep a panel posted. LogDog posts the panel and keeps it up to date on its own.
/suggestworld: the same flow as a slash command, no panel needed.

Either way the member pastes a world link, optionally says why it fits, and can optionally pick one of your open playlists as the category. Duplicates don't pile up: a world someone else already suggested becomes a +1 on the existing suggestion instead of a new one (suggesting the same world twice yourself doesn't add anything), and a world that's already on one of your playlists is politely declined. A dismissed world can be suggested again later.

Each member gets 3 suggestions in any 24 hours by default, adjustable up to 25 or unlimited, and a +1 spends one too. A couple of other guardrails can also answer a member: looking up worlds in quick succession gets a short cooldown, and a server with a very full review queue asks them to try again later.

Reviewing suggestions¶

Suggestions land in the Suggestions tab on the Worlds page; the tab shows a count badge while any are waiting. Each row shows the world's details, the member's pitch, and how many others +1'd it. A suggestion for a world LogDog is still fetching shows as "details pending" and can't be approved until the details arrive (dismissing works any time).

Approve drops the world straight into the chosen playlist, and LogDog tries to DM the member the good news (it can't if their DMs are closed). If the target playlist is already at its 50-world cap, pick another or make room first.
Dismiss archives it quietly; the member is never notified.

Optionally, set a channel under Mod notifications in settings and LogDog posts an embed whenever a new suggestion arrives, with an Open Suggestions Dashboard button straight to the review queue.

Settings¶

The dashboard's Settings → World suggestions card controls the whole feature: turn member suggestions on or off, choose the panel and mod-notification channels, set the per-member limit, and restrict suggesting to specific roles (everyone may suggest by default).

With Premium, you can also customize the suggestion panel's title, text, and thumbnail to match your group's voice.
