Service notifications¶
Choose where LogDog sends setup progress, access-loss alerts, event reminders, and announcement approval previews. These are separate from event pings, which notify roles when a VRChat audit-log event arrives.
Requirements¶
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Your access | Administrator to configure; Manage Server or higher to view settings. |
| LogDog in Discord | View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links in the notification channel. |
| LogDog in VRChat | No extra permission beyond the connected group's View Audit Log. |
| Plan | Free. |
See the permissions matrix for access levels.
Set up on the dashboard¶
- Select your server on app.logdog.gg.
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Choose a Notification channel that your administrators can read.
In Discord, use /config → Notifications to choose the same channel.
What to expect¶
LogDog sends operational notices to the configured channel. Setup and access-loss
notices can fall back to the channel used for /setup, then a configured log channel
if the preferred channel is unavailable. The dashboard also shows notifications.
Some features specifically require a notification channel. For example, announcements with Ask for approval enabled need a destination for their approval previews. Resolve that requirement in Settings before enabling it.
Troubleshooting¶
If a notice is missing, check the dashboard notification bell and Diagnostics.
Confirm that the selected channel still exists and that LogDog can view it and post
embeds there. An @here alert only notifies members if Discord allows the mention.
