Dashboard access

Let staff open your server's dashboard without giving them a Discord permission. Give a Discord role or an individual member one of three levels: Stats only, View, or Edit. Set it up on the dashboard under Settings → Access & permissions → Dashboard access.

Requirements

Requirement Details
Your access Server owner or Administrator to give, change, or remove access.
LogDog in Discord No additional bot permission.
LogDog in VRChat No additional permission.
Plan Free.

The server owner, Administrators, and members with Manage Server already have dashboard access from Discord, so they don't need a grant.

Levels

Level What it opens
Stats only Group Stats (stats, insights, and instances) and nothing else. No exports.
View The dashboard read-only, exports included. The same as Manage Server.
Edit Everyday changes: log routing, events, announcements, worlds, and most settings.
No access People only. Shuts this person out even when one of their roles would let them in.

Edit never includes changing access (dashboard access and feature permissions), the roles LogDog gives members who link, role sync, group membership, log forwarding, Premium, or deleting the configuration. Those stay with the owner and Administrators.

Moderation still needs its feature permission. Banning, unbanning, or removing a member on the dashboard needs the ban or removeuser grant at any level. At Edit, announcements also need Post announcements to VRChat, and log reasons need Add/edit moderation reasons. See Staff permissions.

Give a role or member access

  1. Open app.logdog.gg and select your server.
  2. Open Settings → Access & permissions.
  3. Under Dashboard access → Roles, pick a role and its level, then select Add role.
  4. To give one person their own level, use People: find them by name, pick a level, and select Add person.

Change a level from its menu, or select Remove to take it away. Every change appears in LogDog activity.

How a person's level is decided

  • A person's own level wins, up or down. No access shuts them out even if a role would let them in.
  • Otherwise their highest role counts. A member with a Stats only role and an Edit role gets Edit.
  • A grant never lowers Discord access. An Administrator with a View grant stays an Administrator, and a Manage Server member with an Edit grant gets Edit.
  • @everyone can have Stats only, to share Group Stats with the whole server. View and Edit can't be given to @everyone.
  • Up to 25 roles and 100 people can have dashboard access.

Removing a grant takes effect on that person's next click. When someone gains or loses a role that has access, the dashboard can take about a minute to notice.

Grants apply only while the server is set up in LogDog.

What they see

Their server list shows Stats access, View access, or Edit access on the server's card, and Access given to me filters the list to those servers. Pages they can read but not change show a lock note that says so.

A Stats only member sees only Group Stats in the navigation, and every other page takes them there.
